Camping out with your friends or family need not always mean that you have to struggle to whip up some delicious food. Surprise your companions with these easy camping recipes to make during your trip to the outdoors.
Camping outdoors often would mean more than just fun, it would also mean a lot of adventures, hiking, scrumptious food like bacon and eggs, ginger beer, potted sandwiches, etc. The highlight of any such trip is gathering around the campfire.
A time to discuss events and interact with fellow campers, it is also the time to cook some piping hot meals over the blazing fire. Not everybody can be a homebody and cook beautifully to satiate hungry stomachs. Cooking, whilst you're camping is a group activity and can be fun when you really plan it well. Make sure you have a healthy breakfast that will keep you energized for your activities during the day. Do stock up the larder with some eggs or else simply get it from the neighboring farm.

Hard Boiled Eggs

You will need:
1. Eggs and Paper Cup.

Direction:
Put eggs in a paper cup and fill with water. Make space to keep the cup in the hot coals. Boil the eggs for 10 min.

Breakfast Scramble

You will need:
1. Bacon, 1 lb (Fry and crumble)
2. Potatoes, 1 - 32 oz (frozen)
3. Eggs, 12
4. Onions, ¼ cup (chopped)
5. Milk, ¼ cup
6. Salt & Pepper
Direction:
Melt bacon grease in an iron skillet. Add onions, potatoes and cook until brown. Now, add the crumbled bacon. Whisk the eggs and milk while potatoes get cooked. Pour the egg mixture over potatoes once it is foamy. Turn it every few minutes till it is done. You can cook this on open fire or camp stove. Use mushrooms or peppers to break monotony.

Appetizers

Campfire Popcorn

Directions:
Keep 1 teaspoon each, of oil and popcorn, in a double foil. Fold it like a pouch. Leave space for popcorn to pop. Tie the pouch to a stick, held over hot coals. Shake it and add salt.

Main Course

Camp Fish

You will need:
1. Fresh fish
2. Onion, 1 (small)
3. Lemon, 1
4. Non-stick cooking spray, 1 can
5. Aluminum foil
Directions:
Clean the fish and spray the aluminum foil with the non-stick cooking spray. Now, place the fish on foil. Slice the onions and lay a few slices on each fish. Fold the foil and place on the campfire. Keep a check on it till it cooks. The fish will appear flaky when done.

Baked Potatoes

You will need:
1. Sliced potatoes
2. Salt and Pepper
3. Diced onion
4. Butter
Directions:
Place the potatoes on aluminum foil. This should follow with the onions being placed on top. Top it with salt, pepper, and butter. Now it's time to wrap the foil around the vegetables. Place it on the hot coals. Keep turning for 15 minutes. Your potatoes are ready to be devoured.

Dessert

Banana Cream Pie

You will need:
1. Banana, 1 (sliced)
2. Mini marshmallows
3. Crackers, 5 (smashed)
4. Milk, 1/2 cup
Directions:
Smash the crackers in a bowl. Now add the milk, sliced banana, and the marshmallows and mix it well. Place it in a camping dutch oven. Use cooking spray over it and follow it by cooking over it a campfire. Stir at least for 20 minutes before you serve.

Chocolate Roasted Nuts

You will need:
1. Nuts, 2-3 cups (shelled)
2. Brown sugar, ¼ cup
3. Butter, 1 tablespoon
4. Cocoa powder, 2 tablespoons
Directions:
Melt some butter in a pan. Add the shelled nuts. Stir frequently in brown sugar and cocoa when roasting it over the campfire for at least 40 minutes, before serving.
