What is wakeboarding?

The wakeboarder is towed with a rope behind a motorboat. As the speed of the boat increases, the wakeboarder moves along the water and can perform various aerial stunts.

Steps to Wakeboard

  • Put on a wetsuit, an impact vest, and a helmet for safety.
  • Adjust the bindings on the wakeboard according to your comfort.

  • Grip the handle of the rope near your hip.
  • Keep majority of your weight on the front foot.
  • Make sure your knees stay close to the board.
  • Don’t apply any force, let the boat pull you.
  • Stand up slowly, lean back and shift your weight on your heals. You are all set to wakeboard.

Essential Tips for Beginners

  • Always wear a life jacket.
  • Basic level swimming is a pre-requisite.
  • Alcoholic beverages are prohibited before wakeboarding.

  • Do not increase the speed suddenly, go gradually.
